Biography
Thomas Du Caju studied plastic arts and started his career as a commercial artist. Next, he made storyboards, layouts and set designs for an animation film studio (Ivanhoe, Winnietoons, Turtle Island). Afterwards, he worked for Studio 100 for seven years, enjoying his job in the animation department, designing posters and visualizing merchandising products. He also made the drawings in the movie K3 and the Magic Medaillon.
Thomas has been a freelance artist for a couple of years now. He drew four books of the crime adventure series Sabbatini for publishing house Dupuis/Mezzanine and he is one of Merho's permanent collaborators for the popular series De Kiekeboes. He also contributed to the Bob and Bobette series, taking care of the drawings of The Night Watch and Mona Lisa.
So far, Thomas has drawn 3 Betty & Dodge books for Standaard Uitgeverij, based on scripts by Jean-Claude Van Rijckeghem and Pat Van Beirs.
