The official name of Dédé la Canaille is Dédé Jeuné (from French "déjeuner", meaning "lunch"). He's the most dangerous criminal Marcel Kiekeboe has ever met. Their first encounter (in the book Met de Franse slag) was a coincidence: Charlotte and Marcel were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They contributed to his arrest and Dédé still fully blames Marcel for it.
Whenever he escapes he tries to get his revenge on Marcel Kiekeboe, fortunately without success!
